As you grow older you may came upon the realization

I had started smoking very early on and by the time I reached 35 I didn't think that I could live without the sensation of the pack of cigarettes bulging my front pocket and the feel of the lighter in my hand. Of course everything changed when my wife came into my life. She decided that I wasn't going to smoke anymore, because it was bad for me (it really was) and because she had lost a parent to a smoking related disease and didn't want to lose anyone else.
So my quest for change had begun. Initially I tried to outright stop smoking and these were probably the longest 10 days in my life. It didn't work quite well for me so I decided to try some other ways.
I tried nicotine gum, but apart from giving me an aching jaw it didn't do anything else for me. Then I switched to nicotine patches, nicotine pills, basically everything containing nicotine. It didn't work.
I even reached the point to try dark chocolate and menthol toothpicks which surprisingly were the most successful attempt up to then, but it still wasn't good enough. I was soon back on the track smoking half a pack a day, much to the discontent of my wife.
It all changed rather quickly. One day as I was walking down the street, going to the store I saw a woman holding something like a large cigar, when I got closer I noticed that it wasn't a cigar, but some kind of electronic device. I asked her about and she told me that it wasn't a cigarette: it was an electronic cigarette or e-cig. She wasn't smoking - she was vaping and yes it had nicotine in it but you could just as easily switch to non-nicotine ones.
I was really amazed. On the same day I ordered my first started kit. Now several weeks later I am cigarette free, happy, I got the taste back into my mouth and my girlfriend is even happier than me. So I guess you can stop smoking fairly easy if you have enough will to do it and an e-cig near you.
